About These Terms

I operate QT Shrimp, a Texas-based freshwater shrimp business. In these terms, “I,” “me,” and “my” refer to the owner of QT Shrimp. These terms explain the conditions for using this website and purchasing products from my store, together with the Shipping & DOA Policy and Privacy Policy. Please review them before placing an order.

Orders and Customer Information

Please provide accurate contact, payment, and delivery information and review your order before submitting it. You must be legally able to make the purchase or have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Contact me promptly if you notice an error in your order or shipping address. Changes may not be possible after shipment.

Products are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable or I cannot fulfill your order, I will contact you to discuss an alternative or refund the amount paid for the unfulfilled portion. I will not substitute a different shrimp line or grade without your agreement.

Product Photos, Grading, and Natural Variation

Live shrimp naturally vary in color, pattern, size, and appearance. Unless a listing expressly states that it is WYSIWYG or identifies an exact specimen, photographs represent the line or quality range and do not guarantee that you will receive the individual pictured. Lighting, screens, age, and shipping stress can affect apparent coloration.

Please read the selected quantity, grade, and product description carefully. Contact me before purchasing High Grade shrimp so I can confirm that the available specimen meets your expectations. Breeding outcomes, offspring traits, and future coloration are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in the listing.

Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated. Applicable shipping charges and taxes are shown at checkout. If I discover a material pricing or listing error affecting your order, I will contact you before fulfillment so you can choose whether to accept the corrected order or receive a refund. I will not charge an additional amount without your authorization.

Shipping Schedule and Delivery

Orders placed before Sunday are scheduled to ship the following Monday or Tuesday. Orders placed on Sunday or afterward move to the next shipping week. For a future scheduled delivery, please message me before ordering to arrange a suitable shipping date.

Weather, holidays, and carrier conditions may require a delay for animal safety. Tracking is provided after shipment. A shipping date is not a guaranteed delivery date. Please provide an accurate address and arrange to receive live shrimp on the first delivery attempt.

Dead-on-Arrival Coverage

DOA coverage is available only for orders shipped using 1-day shipping. Orders shipped using 2-day shipping are not eligible for DOA coverage.

Eligible claims must be reported within one hour of the carrier-recorded delivery time. Provide clear photographs of the affected shrimp inside the original unopened bag, with the shipping label visible, and include your order number. First-attempt delivery and all other requirements in the Shipping & DOA Policy apply.

Approved claims may be resolved with a refund for affected purchased shrimp, excluding shipping, or a replacement shipment with shipping paid by the customer. Extra “+” shrimp cover minor losses and are not counted as purchased shrimp for reimbursement purposes. These voluntary DOA terms do not limit any rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Returns and Order Changes

Live-animal sales are final, subject to eligible DOA claims and applicable consumer rights. Live shrimp cannot be returned or exchanged for animal-welfare and biosecurity reasons. Dry-goods returns require prior approval, and items must be unused and unopened.

For cancellation or order-change requests, contact me as soon as possible. I will confirm whether the request can be accommodated; sending a request does not itself confirm cancellation. Please do not return any item without contacting me first.

Shrimp Care

You are responsible for providing a mature, fully cycled aquarium and appropriate, stable water conditions. Care information describes general guidance and my husbandry practices; individual aquarium conditions vary. The DOA policy covers eligible losses at arrival and is not a guarantee of ongoing survival or breeding success after introduction to your aquarium.

Website Use and Content

Please use this website lawfully. Do not submit fraudulent orders, interfere with the website, or misuse another person's information. My original photographs, branding, and written content may not be reproduced for commercial use without permission, except where permitted by law. Third-party content remains the property of its respective owners.

Privacy and Third-Party Services

The store is hosted by Shopify. Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Third-party websites and services linked from this store have their own terms and privacy practices.

Consumer Rights and Changes to These Terms

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

I may update these terms for future orders and will post the revised date on this page. Changes will not retroactively reduce the terms or protections applicable to an order already placed.
